What is Pu’er tea
Pu’er tea is produced in Yunnan Province and grows in humid environments above an altitude of 1000 meters. It used to be classified as black tea, but now it belongs to an independent tea variety.
According to different production processes, Pu’er tea can be divided into unfermented tea and fermented tea.
Unfermented Pu’er tea is green, while fermented Pu’er tea is brown.
The tea soup of unfermented Pu’er tea is yellow and transparent. The fermented Pu’er tea soup is brown, with a darker color and sediment.
Unfermented Pu’er tea has a heavier bitterness, while fermented Pu’er tea has a lighter bitterness.
It is recommended to drink nonfermented Pu erh tea in summer, as it can produce saliva and quench thirst. It is recommended to drink fermented Pu’er tea in winter to warm the stomach.
Pu’er tea includes both loose tea and tea cakes.
Pu’er tea includes six varieties: Pu’er black tea, Pu’er black tea, Pu’er yellow tea, Pu’er dark tea, Pu’er green tea, and Pu’er white tea.
