The difference between Ming Qian tea and Ming Hou tea
Tea picking is usually divided into two seasons. The first season is before the Qingming Festival, and the second is after the Qingming Festival.
As the name suggests, tea picked before the Qingming Festival is called Ming Qian tea, while tea picked after the Qingming Festival is called Ming Hou tea.
Before Qingming Festival: before April 4th. After the Qingming Festival: approximately April 4th to April 20th.
The difference between Ming Qian tea and Ming Hou tea is as follows:
Different appearances
Before the Qingming Festival, the temperature is relatively low, and the growth of tea is slow. At this time, the tea harvested is mostly tender buds.
After the Qingming Festival, the temperature is high, and tea proliferates with fewer tender buds and larger leaves.
Different colors
The color of Ming Qian tea is Emerald, very bright. Ming Hou tea is dark green and relatively dull.
Different flavors
The taste of pre-named tea is more delicious, while the taste of post-named tea is stronger. Everyone has a different taste, some people like the taste of Ming Qian tea, while others like the taste of Ming Hou tea.
Different qualities
Ming Qian tea had a long growth cycle and experienced a long winter. The growth environment is low in temperature, free from pests and diseases, rich in nutrients, and of excellent quality. Ming Hou tea has a short growth cycle and high environmental temperature, which may be affected by diseases and pests. The taste and quality are slightly inferior.
It should be noted that although Ming Qian tea is of high quality, its price is also higher.
